Affiliate Marketing Reloaded
Wed, Jun 23, 2010

Besides the nice contrast of the yellow and blue, you might be asking “what the heck does a crane have to do with affiliate marketing?” And your right to ask, it doesn’t make much sense at first glance, but this crane represents a sense of being ready for some heavy lifting in affiliate marketing.
I’ve taken the last six month off of my efforts to focus on client work and a new 50 hour a week day job. My affiliate income has stayed about the same over these months as it’s really on auto pilot, but nothing has grown and some things have fallen to zero revenue. But when you don’t watch thing the money seems to not build up as fast. I’m averaging about $800 per month.
It used to be around $1,200 per month …
But I’m ready to get back in the game and put some serious effort and investment toward my initiatives. I just finished outlining a website and tool development plan that takes me well into 2012, and have been working on finding great domains with age and links to build some new sites around. I hear that being organized and sticking to a plan is one of the keys to success.
Working 50 hours a week has really reminded me how hard cooperate life is. Since my last posts on this blog I quite my job to focus on my own business. Great right, but an issue arose due to my internet marketing experience. I was getting a ton of client work that was taking away from my affiliate efforts.
Even though I was only working about 20 hours a week on my own schedule, my income was still tied to actual client campaigns and contracts. It wasn’t on auto-pilot like I was looking for. So when the job offer came around I jumped at the opportunity to make a great salary and have some security with benefits.
Oops …
So with the fire lit once again I’m turning the machine back on. The crane is ready and the foremen has a solid execution blueprint to follow. And while there’s some heavy lifting ahead, I’m ready. I invite you to join me on this reloaded push and too contribute all the comments and content you like. I’d rather not be the only one squawking here! I’m happy to be back and will be in touch soon.
Best, Failin’ Affiliate
